Cornerstone Barrel House

The Cornerstone Barrel House has great food, service and location. This is the second time we have visited the bar/restaurant. The first time we visited  I ordered some fish N chips and she ordered steak with frites. Our delicious meal was followed by with a  rumchata bread pudding dessert our waitress,Sharon, recommended to us. Our second visit, we found Cornerstone Barrel House crowded, so we sat the bar. While waiting we enjoyed a beer and a fuzzy navel. Then we placed our order.  I chose a barrel burger with frites and my wife ordered filet wrapped asparagus with a side of frites. Again, the food was delicious along the service from our two waitresses, Ashley and Sherri. If you are in the Downtown Detroit area and are looking for a place to hangout, celebrate or a great meal, I recommend Cornerstone Barrel House. It is a great option for that special occasion that will satisfy with delicious food to eat and great service.

Great Taste Starts Here

I think cooking good dishes always starts at home as we advance our cooking skills. I have cooked cube steak with gravy and  rice, with a side of string beans for dinner. The dinner was delicious. I will continue to post more meals I cook at home and restaurants that I have visit. Please continue to read and share my blog  with others on my blog site 'Michigan Eats with Johnnie'.

Help Never Changes

There will always be people in need of help. Families can make a difference by helping to support those in need. I'm here at Detroit Rescue Mission with my wife, Dawn M. Townsend, lending a hand to the people of Detroit. The Detroit Rescue Mission continues to provide services for  people with donations of food and clothing. Let's continue to be inspiration to others and help those who need it most. Please make a donation to your nearest shelter. Giving a little can make a difference in people's lives.

Back at Stock Pot

The Stock Pot diner in Bay City is still a great place stop at for a nice cooked breakfast. I have been here many times before and have even taken our four children. The food is always great and the service is outstanding. There are historical pictures and items that hang on the wall. I still recommend this restaurant to visit if you are in the Bay City area. If you have a taste for good food, especially a morning breakfast, stop at Stock Pot.

Back to Beatles and Beans

We are back at Beatles and Beans in the Bay City area. The coffee shop full with memorabilia of Beatles past. The service is always great. They have a nice sense of humor and greet you with a great smile. Enjoy your drink while relaxing, listening to some Beatles tunes.

Grill Dish

The best way to get a great taste from your meat is to grill the dish while adding ingredients that will make your dish pop. I decided to grill steak fajitas for the first time and it turned out great. I used a few items like red and yellow bell peppers for color and taste.
