Grill Dish

The best way to get a great taste from your meat is to grill the dish while adding ingredients that will make your dish pop. I decided to grill steak fajitas for the first time and it turned out great. I used a few items like red and yellow bell peppers for color and taste.

Roxey's Lounge

The Roxey's Lounge, located in Ontonagon, MI on River Street, is a cool bar hangout with great food and service. When you first come in just seat yourself. As you pass the bar  you will see pictures of what River Street used to look like back in 1965. There were many choices on the menu. Our waiter, Dennis, came over and I ordered a bacon cheese burger with chips and my wife order a philly steak sandwich on texas toast with fries. The food tasted delicious! Our waiter continued to make sure we were taken care of, even as he served drinks to the customers at the bar with a smile. The cook, who made our delicious food, found time to stop and say hello to the locals. I do recommend Roxey's Lounge for a bite to eat if you are in the upper peninsula area near Ontonagon.

Soup and More Soup

Soup and more soup, it is the best thing to have during any season if you are feeling under the weather. Yes, soup is the best recommendation  to get rid of that yucky feeling of being sick. There are all types of soups  to choose from, but my favorite  is chicken noodle with some grilled cheese. Soup and more soup, just make your favorite. It will help you get through rough days when you have feelings of a cold or other ailments.  

New Martha Washington Bakery

The New Martha Washington Bakery, located in Hamtramck, MI, still continues their tradition servicing the people in Hamtramck. The New Martha  Washington Bakery has been open since 1925  and produces over 17 flavors of paczki donuts. They also serve other delicious treats keeping that traditional spirit going.

Lockhart's BBQ

Lockhart's BBQ is an excellent place to visit for a great taste of barbecue. The restaurant has great seating with television around the restaurant for viewing.  Lockhart's BBQ has great food with lots to choose from. They are known for their delicious barbecue choices. It's menu has a variety of food to choose from with there signature barbecue sauce. I had an order of a half rack of ribs with two sides which were cornbread and baked beans. My wife ordered the same thing but with different sides including coleslaw and greens. The food tasted good and the service we received was wonderful.
